Who I am
Web Developer in Los Angeles
From a young age, I had a natural inclination for technology, mathematics, and computers, qualities my mother recognized early on. However, I initially ventured into different fields, including Kinesiology and Business Finance, before my path led me to explore the tech industry. At the age of 24, I decided to embrace my passion for front-end development. While it may have seemed like a late start, I quickly realized that it's never too late to pursue one's dreams.
My journey gained momentum when I discovered the Freemote Online Course, which reignited my passion for technology. Shortly after, I secured a contract position as a front-end developer with the LA County Board of Supervisors in August 2022, all while working at Costco Wholesale on weekends.
Over the past couple of years, I've acquired a diverse skill set, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Github, Power Automate, CMS platforms like Kontent.ai, form management with Jotforms, and frameworks such as Vue.js, Shopify, Shopify Liquid, React, and Webflow. While I may not consider myself an expert in all these areas, my commitment to continuous improvement drives me forward.
My unique background combines marketing expertise from Costco with an understanding of critical business concepts from my work with the county. I aim to leverage this knowledge and my technical skills to assist clients in enhancing their businesses through e-commerce platforms and website development.
My strengths lie in my unwavering work ethic, insatiable appetite for learning, youthful passion, and ability to build meaningful connections. While I can sometimes be a perfectionist, overly accommodating, and prone to taking on too many responsibilities, I view these traits as opportunities for growth, allowing me to deliver exceptional results and provide a helping hand to those I work with.
